Hibachi express is the best to me. I honestly like it way better than an actual hibachi spot where they cook in front of you. You get the same portion, if not more, as you'd get at a restaurant and you get to skip the dramatics. I usually get the chicken and shrimp special.. depending on your appetite you can eat it all in one setting or you can definitely have leftovers.
It is a small venue, like a carry out hibachi, quick for an in and out. When I have people come visit from out of town, I do try to make an effort to bring them to Hibachi Express. -

This is probably my favorite spot in Richmond to get hibachi to-go! Food is torch every time I go. They have very reasonable prices and if you go at lunch between 11am-3pm the deals are practically a steal. They also give a very nice size portion of food. I struggle to finish every time, and if I'm not being greedy then I usually can create two meals. It comes with a small salad and two small containers of yum yum sauce but I do recommend asking for extra yum yum sauce if you like it as much as I do.
Inside isn't much to look at but they keep the bathroom decent and there's a TV to entertain during the wait. Also everything being prepared is in plain view behind a sneeze guard glass. They have pretty good customer service and the wait time isn't too long unless they are slammed during lunch hours which is usually around 1-2pm, but even then it's worth the wait or I recommend just calling ahead. If you're in the area I definitely recommend stopping through to check them out. -

A coworker and I were looking for something different to eat and ended up here. The lunch chicken hibachi I ordered was cooked correctly, had a great taste, and was a great value at less than 10 bucks with drink.
Warning: the salad was lettuce with 2 shreds of carrot and some sauce. Tasted ok but barely met the definition of a salad. Also all the sodas say coke products but are definitely some knock off version.
I would definitely go here again! It is a great value and the meal was delicious and filling -

If I only judge the food 4 stars we love this place. The prices is right for all the food you get the service is ok. The place could used a little more of a cleaning but all is all the food is really good and we go there once a week. Cheaper than your other Hibachi seat down places. I would recommend this place to everyone

The people working we're nice, but it was pretty slow for a "express." What's worse was the clear soup tasted like dishwater with onion and mushrooms in it. Everything else was food and they gave me a lot of "yum-yum" sauce, so that's good.
